Our Home and Community

We truly live in “God’s country” in beautiful Northern California. We get  just enough snow in the winter to make snowmen and we love our mild, canoe-paddling summers. Although we’re an easy hour from a major city with a zoo, amusement park, museums, etc., we definitely enjoy our country living. Our rural five acres and quiet cul-de-sac are perfect for raising children. We have wonderful neighbors with children of all ages.

Our four-bedroom, three-bath home is begging to be messed up with toys. In the yard, we have apple, peach, pear, and cherry trees that will be great for climbing and for sampling tree-ripened fruit. Next to the fruit trees, we have an area all level and ready for swings and slides. All around us are beautiful pine, cedar, and oak trees. At the end of the cul-de-sac are footpaths that allow you to enjoy the woods and maybe get lucky with some wild blackberries.

Our dog, Barkley, at a lake just 3 miles from home

We have several lakes within a few miles of us and we also enjoy the area around Lake Tahoe at our family cabin. Frank has grown up exploring the mountains, meadows, and streams around their family cabin every summer since he has been able to walk. He is eager to share his hard-earned secrets—the areas with the most beautiful wildflowers, the best fishing, and the best places to watch the sun set.
